Echo costs $90 and can be only ordered by those who already have an Amazon echo app and can be only ordered from pre-existing echo by giving command like Alexa buy a DOT which is a deal breaker as Amazon is selectively letting people buy its products and however it has been their policy from long but as one account is connected to one echo chances are that only one DOT per echo will be sold. As iOS app users can still purchase DOT even without echo as buy option is shown on it but amazon has said they will cancel orders placed from iOS devices as this is not company policy.
